Today's watercolor

(This painting is now sold.)
Working at the Market again today, I painted this with many interruptions which probably effected the outcome somewhat. It is a small 5x7 watercolor. The Sunday Bouquet sold today to a lady from Texas. I think it is to be a gift. I did some sumi paintings after this warmup and they will appear after they have been mounted onto a backing with cornstarch glue, the traditional method although wall paper paste is popular with some sumi artists, I find it is not permanent. This little painting will go into the Gallery browser bin as the other did. It will find a home...

Sunday Bouquet

Today I painted this tiny bouquet while I was working at the Gallery at the Market. There were lots of people watching me paint, so it is a demo kind of painting.

Sold.

First painting post...

Here is the announcement from my last show. It is the first image posting so far...a sumi fledgling.

Thanks to Barbara Newton and Marilyn Webberley, two very fine artists, I am now on my way as a new blogger. Thank you fellow artists!

This painting is sold.
